  • Adoption/ Foster Care Lisence!

We got our lisence on Monday!  This will cover adoption as well as foster care for 1 year.  On it, it says we can only have 4 kids so that is reassuring.  They told us they would lisence us for 9...scary!  4 is much better!  Now we just sit and wait...oh and keep the house some what clean.

If you think about it, we have been working on this process for 9 months.  Anything sound familiar with that number?

  • Home Studies

Our home studies have been scheduled.....FINALLY!  They are July 20th, 28th, and 31st.  Please pray for us as we get ready for the home studies and also the home inspection. Everyone says they aren't as bad as you think they will be, but I am so nervous!  But that's just me.  I'm sure it will go just fine.

My parents have moved to Colorado.  They moved to Cascade this weekend.  Its around 30-40 mins from our house.  Just far enough away, but not tooo far!  We are so excited they are here!

Well, back to cleaning.  Fridge- done, Windows inside- done, all meds and cleaners locked up----working on it!

  • Vacation #1

A beautiful rainbow from our hotel room!

The space shuttle on its way home.

Our niece Joy sang the National Anthem with a group at her graduation.  Below is a picture of the graduating class.  It was fun to hear all the names being read in RAPID succession. The graduation was only 1 1/2 hours long.  Pretty impressive for that many people.

  • Graduation Cake

    DSC05413

This is a graduation cake I made for a senior from Colorado Springs Christian School.  She loves Ace of Cakes and wanted something alittle different.  This is what she picked.  It was my first try at fondant for a cake that someone actually paid for.  I think it turned out pretty cute.  I hope she liked it.
